Now that you've read this far, my friend, I beg you to consider this question. You've made some choices in life - some good, some bad. Before God, there must be a reckoning. There must be a price paid for choices that violated His ways. You have another choice to make. Either, you finally admit the tendencies toward sin which are inherent in your human nature and acknowledge that you fall short of being able to help yourself...and turn to Jesus Christ, the Sinless One who died in your place as the One who can pay an acceptable price for sin...and you will be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God. Or, you may choose to continue to rely upon yourself and turn away from accepting what I'm offering you through faith in Jesus Christ, by refusing to believe His life and death accomplished anything more than you can do for yourself.

My choice and yours, at this moment of truth when we stand before God, does not in any way alter the fact that only one price remains acceptable to God: the price paid by His own Son Jesus Christ who, though faultless and undeserving, chose to die on the cross in our place - taking my sin and your sin on Himself saying, "Father! They can't pay the price! I will pay it for them! I love them so much that I offer Myself to die in their place! I take the punishment of their sin upon Me! The price is paid, Father! Do not hold it against them!" If you accept that this is true, you may remain standing before God, and praise and adoration for such Love will flood your heart with Joy as you've never known before!

It is upon this one choice that the healing for the wounds is available - the wounds from my sin. Jesus Christ has wiped out the penalty for my sin, but the most horrible consequences to still deal with are the scars the sin has left upon me. I may be standing next to you in church, openly rejoicing that my sin is dealt with, but I will do my best to keep my scars hidden because I find them so hideous and ugly. There is healing, my friend, even for the scars.
